Dear api-users,
In the course of the next couple of weeks we are planning to update the
forecast data from the services locationforecast and oceanforecast
/weatherapi/locationforecast/1.9:
Today, most locations outside Norway/Northern Europe have a forecast with
time resolution of 3 hours for the first three days and 6 hours for the
remaining days. This will now change to the following: The time resolution
will be 1 hour for the first three days and 6 hour for the remaining days.
/weatherapi/oceanforecast:
Today we erroneously deliver an xml with sea forecast data for locations
that are actually on land. This will now change, so a request for data for
a land location will get an empty xml as response.
At the same time we will update the forecast models used by this service.
This should significantly improve the accuracy of the forecast,
particularly for sea areas close to Norwegian mainland.
The /weatherapi/locationforecast*lts* will remain unchanged in another
three months according to the specific conditions related to the
lts-version.
At last, we would like to inform you on the transition to the newest
international version of the CC BY license that will take place in the near
future, CC BY 4.0. The conditions for use will be updated accordingly, but
there are no major changes to how data from MET Norway may be used.
Best regards,
Håvard Futsæter
