[api.met.no] Updates to Nowcast and mailing list

Dear API users,

Some minor news, mainly for Norwegian users:

1. The new version 2.0 of Nowcast is nearing completion, and next week we 
will be replacing the old production backend with the new one (same as 
Locationforecast) for both the current version 0.9 and the 2.0 beta. For the 
latter there will be no difference, but in version 0.9 there will be a few 
trivial changes:

- The @xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation and Model at name attributes will be 
updated to reflect the new production

- An @altitude attribute will be added to the location element (same as for 
Locationforecast)

- The number of decimals in latitude/longitude is no longer fixed

These changes are expected to take effect on Monday Nov 9th. Also, on 
Wednesday the 11th the production will be moved from the test to the main 
production environment. We do not expect any outage in the service, but for 
a few minutes we might not have a full 15 min forecast available.

2. As of yesterday, this mailing list has been moved to an external mail 
provider. The servers are located in the EU and covered by EU privacy laws, 
and we have secured a data processing agreement which secures that your 
personal data will not be sold to third parties. Still, if you wish to 
unsubscribe you can get most of the API updates as RSS a few days later from 
the following feed:
